This Sunday in stake conference we were given a little bit of history about the church in Kingman. Kingman originally was part of the Moapa Stake, and people had to travel to Henderson Nevada for church. The traveled over the Hoover Dam to get to church.
The original chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in Kingman was on the corner of Spring and Stowell. This is behind Lee Williams High School. The building now houses Calvary Chapel.

There are now two church buildings, The Rutherford Building and the Eastern Building. They were both designed to be stake centers; and with the creation of the new Kingman North Stake they both are stake centers now.
